Junior League and Ronald McDonald House
Twenty-eight years ago, the Ronald McDonald House in Lubbock opened its doors after seven years of planning, development and building that started with the vision and support of the Junior League of Lubbock. That vision became a reality in September 1985, with the groundbreaking for what was the largest Junior League project to have been developed, with overwhelming community support. Ribbon Cutting, Holiday Happening 2011. Each November, Holiday Happening ushers in the Christmas Season in the Lubbock Community, with Breakfast with Santa and a Market Hall shopping extravanganza. More than that, it has been a fundraiser for the Junior League of Lubbock, making it possible for the Junior League to return more than $5 million back to the community since 1979.
