Touch-a-Truck brings area children face to face with big trucks, equipment and their operators. The one-day event brings out thousands of attendees—children and adults—to see and interact with machinery, working vehicles, utility trucks, tractors, and unusual equipment. Previous events even included free bicycle helmets for children in attendance, live demonstrations from the Shriners’ Khiva Kart Patrol, and the chance to ring the Saddle Tramps’ Bangin’ Bertha.
A relatively new project, the Junior League of Lubbock held Touch-a-Truck in October 2015, October 2017, and April 2019.
