Community Assistance Grant

The purpose of the Community Assistance Grant is the distribution of funds to not-for-profit agencies in Crosby, Floyd, Garza, Hale, Hockley, Lamb, Lubbock, Lynn and Terry counties. In the fall of 2017, up to $5,000 may be awarded to not-for-profit agencies which have incurred approved expenses between March 19, 2017 and October 13, 2017. The Fall 2017 Community Assistance Grant submission deadline will be October 13, 2017 and monies will be awarded on or before November 30, 2017. Monies awarded shall be determined by the Junior League of Lubbock Community Impact Council and the Executive Board of Directors. No agency will be considered for funding if Community Assistance Grant funds have been received in the twelve (12) months prior to the submission deadline.

Funding requests for a Community Assistance Grant:

  1. May be submitted at any time during the year.
  2. Will be assigned to committee researchers who will serve as liaisons to the requesting body.
  3. Will be reviewed and awarded as scheduled above. An individual application may be reviewed at a different time if the request is deemed an emergency situation by the Community Impact Council.
  4. Will be judged on the individual merits of the project as they pertain to our stated criteria.

The addition of this vehicle to our traditional methods of funding has enhanced our ability to serve the community. We hope that you will continue to find it beneficial. Applications received after scheduled deadlines will be reviewed for eligibility during the next grant review cycle.
