Scholarship
The Junior League of Lubbock (JLL) is pleased offer a $2,500 Volunteer Service Award Scholarship. The scholarship will be awarded to a female high school senior who has demonstrated an exemplary commitment to voluntarism. Click here to view past Volunteer Service Award Scholarship recipients.
Applications must be postmarked by Wednesday, February 13, 2013 and the criteria for selection are as follows:

Female
-
High School Senior
-
College bound in the Fall of 2013 (to either a two-year college or four-year university)
-
Resident of Lubbock, Lamb, Hale, Floyd, Crosby, Garza, Lynn, Terry or Hockley counties

Demonstrated commitment to voluntarism

The Community Council of the JLL will review each application and make a recommendation to the JLL Executive Board of Directors. The final decision will be based on the highest cumulative score based on (1) volunteer activities, (2) demonstrated impact of volunteer efforts, (3) continued commitment to voluntarism and (4) references.
The $2,500 scholarship will be made payable to the college or university to be attended by the recipient. The JLL will announce the award recipient no later than March 4, 2013.
