How We Can Help

The Junior League of Lubbock, Inc. is an organization that works to improve our community! There are several ways in which the Junior League can help your non-profit organization.

First of all, you can apply for the Community Assistance Grant. The purpose of the Community Assistance Grant is to distribute funds to non-profit agencies to address human needs and/or meet the needs of tax-exempt agencies. A total of $20,000 may be awarded each year as determined by the Community Council and the Executive Board of Directors. Agencies awarded monies may not receive further CAG funding in the following 12 months.
Please go to the CAG page for an application and criteria information.

The Junior League of Lubbock is committed to “promoting voluntarism and improving the community through the effective action of trained volunteers.” In this spirit, we seek to partner with other community agencies that have a need for our volunteers. The Junior League of Lubbock volunteers may be available for up to 48 hours of volunteer placement service per year; placement year is June 1 through May 31. For additional information go to the Volunteer Request Application page.

The JLL can also offer you volunteers through our Community Shift program. When nonprofit agencies are limited in achieving their goals because of lack of manpower, this program provides a dedicated group of Junior League of Lubbock volunteers to work on short-term projects/events. No Junior League of Lubbock financial assistance will be provided through this volunteer effort. Again, there is an application form on the Community Shift page.

Additionally, the JLL has our Focus Area. This is a single focus area within the community for which the Junior League of Lubbock has committed funding and volunteers. More information on be found on the Focus Area link.

Finally, the JLL Foundation, which is still in its infancy, is always accepting donations. This foundation, once fully funded, will supply monetary grants to non-profit agencies.
